Impressions of a participant of “Summer school Nikola Tesla OBC program”

This summer along with our classical Outward Bound courses, we organize 2 “Summer school Nikola Tesla OBC programs” supported by the Rotary club Zagreb.

10- day educational program together with OB expedition, includes visit to birth house of Ante Starčevića and visit to memorial centre of Nikola Tesla as well as lecture by the director of the Ruđer Bošković Institute prof. dr.sc. Tome Antičić.

Dear OBC team,

Thank you for this wonderful experience! I am happy that there are still people that care about us kids and encourage us to start searching for what can´t be touched or bought, something that is much more worth. Maybe you are not aware of it, but to most of us – you changed our lives, of course, each in a different way. Here, we found happiness in every joke, other participants´smiles, rest in the shadow, making fire, watching the stars (and last can of tuna of courseJ). We got the chance to try things that we would probably never try out ourselves and we realized they are so interesting that they can create addiction (thanks Igor for not letting us die).

Despite the tiredness and exhaustion we did it which is a big step for us and we are very proud of it. Most credit goes to our instructors Marko and Andrea that thought us how to implement theory in practice and showed us that things in life don´t always go easily and as planned but that there is always place for making it better.
Not to sound to formal – we really had fun, there was laughing till our tears came (mostly for Krešo´s love troubles) and singing all day. I must say that return to the centre was bitter sweet – we missed the toilets and showers but it is unbelievable how man can get used to nature and become addicted to adventures.
I hope that this addiction will bring me back to Outward Bound program next year again (the others agree with me as well) and that this is not the last good bye.
